Those annoying screws are Torx size T-10 "secure" fasteners.In order to open them you need the proper wrench.You need two wrenches, in fact (one to turn and the other to stop the opposing screw from spinning in place.)
A pair of these little Wiha L-Keys fits neatly into the side pocket of either style "Leatherman" sheath. Eventually you'll want to loosen or tighten the action, clean the handles or use that cool diamond file to sharpen the knife blade.When that day arrives (and it will) you'll be awfully glad these tiny wrenches came along for the ride.
