I saw the negative reviews on other sites, but am a sucker for gadgets built for "geeks". It bills itself as designed for those who will be " swapping out a hard drive at one moment, and transferring data at the next". First the bit driver. The bits it contains are a #2 Philips, and 2 sizes of straight bits. I have assembled several computers and have never seen a #2 Philips used. They are always the #1 or #0. The bits are not the standard height and they have a spring-loaded ball in them so you can't just store your own in the tool. This means that no, you can't use it to swap out a hard drive. The light does work, and if the tool came with a #0, #1, and a small flat bit, I would actually use it. The flash drive side isn't much more useful. It does carry the drive in a protected manner and it gets points for that. The core of the tool is the 1/2" by 1" micro SD card reader stored in the tool. I have been using this reader for micro SD cards for a while and was excited to see it in a tool. The "extra storage compartment" is just whatever room they had left with a lid on it. It is not sized to a micro SD card in any way. They could have put an insert into the compartment that would have protected the cards better. Micro SD cards are fragile and I don't feel comfortable with them bouncing around in the compartment. The entire tool is 4.25" long and 2" wide. This makes it too big to put in your pocket, and I'm not "nerd enough" to put it on my belt loop. The bottom line is that I don't think they did much research on what someone who works with computers would want. Give me the right size bits, get rid of the carabiners to make the tool smaller, make the actual tools more efficiently to reduce their size, give me something that would protect the micro SD cards, and this would have real potential. I wouldn't use the carabiners for anything and putting a clip on them would make much more sense. If they made a clip for the individual tool, it would be even better. The overall quality looks good, just needs some design tweaking. They are a good brand but I am disappointed in this one.
