Truly operable with one hand.You can even flick it open like a switch blade(using your index finger on back side) if you're into looking bad.At first I wasn't sure about the blade lock being near the pivot, but now I wouldn't have it any other way.This allows you to unlock and close the blade whithout shifting the knife around in your hand, making it the ultimate lock blade for one hand operation.The bottle opener also comes in extremely handy, for me.
Haven't had it long enough to sharpen yet.Still sharp after lots of use.Great blade so far.
